BoxCurio is an online marketplace to “Own and Cherish” 100% Genuine, Original, Hand-made, Natural and Truly Ethnic Indian curated products. It is an idea turned into effort and then finally into a reality showing through the advent of this online store website.

Can you imagine a world where you could buy beautifully crafted premium quality and 100% Genuine art and décor hand-made products along with REAL Indian leather apparels and home-made beauty and Food products which not only would make you stand out in a crowd, but also make you feel happy about the fact your purchase is uplifting artisans from poverty? Well, that is our life purpose.

Also, it is our effort to bring you an undeniably unique selection of carefully chosen curated products that are Hand-Made, Home-Made, Organic, Natural and Traditional, while ensuring a fair price for every single curator/artisan whose creations have been featured on this portal.

BoxCurio was born in 2018 from an ardent desire amongst its founder to create a larger canvas of curated products than what exists today, for all the beautiful and unparalleled creativity that the simple curators/artisans of India have been quietly perfecting all this while.

For our handicraft products, we hope to be able to raise the dignity of the Indian artisan in our own small way.

This portal was conceived with the sole objective of featuring Indian art and craft in its most unique and contemporary form, bringing it closer to people across the world.

With the driving objective of creating a fair price platform for curators/artisans who have very limited access to any market, leave alone global markets, the site is inhabited with a wide selection of products from every corner of the country, direct from the curator/artisan. There are many different worlds contained within the geographical boundaries of India. The world of its curators, with their hand-made goods and crafts, spans millennia and spreads across the length and breadth of the land. To hundreds and thousands of Indian curators/artisans, fusion of utility and aesthetics comes naturally.

This way, we created a unique platform in the guise of an online store and BoxCurio brand that could turn an industry known for its’ low wages and exploitation of labor into a brand with fair wages, valorization of handmade processes and a nice dose of positivity and good vibes.

We source curated products made by curators/artisans directly. This benefits the curators/artisans and appreciates their skill in the true sense.

When your order has been shipped, we will send you an e-mail with your tracking number and a link to where you can track it online.

Yes. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption is used for every transaction in order to ensure that each order is secure.

SSL encrypts transmissions from our e-commerce servers as well as your computer. SSL encryption works by forming a matched pair with the transmission from your computer transmission and our server, so that only data to and from these sources can be valid.

Yes, your credit card/debit card/bank account is charged upon completion of your order. When you enter your payment details information on the final review page, we will give you an order confirmation number. You will also immediately receive an e-mail confirming that your order has been received. We will send another e-mail to notify you when your order has been shipped.

For your own security and protection, if in the normal course of fraud control we find something suspicious regarding your order, we will call or e-mail you to verify your information. this mostly happens in 'cash-on-delivery' orders.

Unfortunately, we do not allow cancellation of any order where if especially its just a change of mind.

For apparels ONLY, if for any reason you would like to exchange, please contact customer service as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. You may also check the ‘Returns Policy’ for more details.

Personalized and custom orders are non-returnable. We are sure you appreciate the efforts that has gone in preparing something just for you.

We accept all major Visa, MasterCard Credit cards and Debit cards. We also accept all major Indian banks Net Banking facility.

Paytm is a great option you can use, its quite popular and user-friendly anyways.

We also accept PayPal for our overseas customers outside of India.

'Cash-on-Delivery' is an option we serve as well.

We almost deliver to all major locations within India. Its around 45000+ pin-codes that we can comfortably deliver to within India.

Outside of India, there isn't any country where we can't deliver to.

Most of the products on boxcurio.com are handmade; hand woven and intricately crafted, as such there may be variations in colour and embellishment of the actual product against that as shown on the website. This is due to the nature that our artisans/makers/curators do not make the product using a machine. Hence differences in display outputs due to lighting, digital photography, colour settings and displaying capabilities of computer monitors, laptops or the mobile devices that you may be using, is only natural and unintentional.

If an order is subjected to any damage, manufacturing defect or fault from our side, send in a mail at support@boxcurio.com and once we verify the same, we will refund your order in full amount.

You can review the status of your orders and other related tracking information by visiting the “My Orders” section in your account. You can instantly see the status of a specific order and all your past orders.

Once the order is shipped, you can see the button "Track Order" which will give you more detailed information about your order status.

If you have placed the order as a guest, you can register using the email through which you have placed the order with. You can track the order through the steps mentioned above.

In any case, we will send you an email and SMS notifying you of your Airway bill number and order tracking link.

If your order has been shipped and you are still not able to know the order status through tracking link, wait for 12 hours. In some rare cases, courier partner take upto 12 hours to activate the tracking link.

We use the 3D Secure payments - Razorpay and Paytm payment gateways for credit card, debit card, netbanking and wallets. These are industry-standard secure payment methods so that we can ensure that all your online transactions at BoxCurio are processed in an extremely secure environment.

When our team is unable to rule out the possibility of fraud categorically, the transaction is kept on hold, and the customer is requested to provide identity documents.

The ID documents help us ensure that the purchases were indeed made by a genuine card holder.

The 3D Secure password is an additional password that you’ll be asked to enter after entering your card details on the payment page. You’ll be redirected to your individual bank’s page where you'll have to enter the Verified by Visa password for Visa cards or SecureCode password for MasterCard cards. Your card-issuing bank will give this password to you and you should have this password prior to shopping on BoxCurio.

OTP means 'One-Time-Password' whis is a secure code sent to your registered mobile and email access. This should be used to authenticate and verify your payment on BoxCurio. This is always known only to you, hence it is extremely secure.

Note: 3-D secure password has been made mandatory by the Reserve Bank of India to ensure safer online shopping. This will add an additional layer of security and thus, prevent misuse of a lost or stolen card, as the user will be unable to proceed unless they enter the password associated with your card, created by yourself and known only to you.

Don't Worry! Just wait for sometime and check if you have received a debit notification from your bank either via an SMS or email notification. Then wait for further 2-3 hours if this debit is reversed, if not call your bank and check on the same.

Once it is established that the payment is debited, just ask for the transaction ref number from your bank or look for it in the bank statement and email it to us, we will investigate it and revert back to you. We will do everything possible to resolve the matter at our end, be rest assured.

To simply put it, if the money has been debited from your bank account, then either its stuck in your bank's back-end and will either come to us or will go back to your bank account. Just raise it with us and your bank and it will be sorted out.

Shipping & Delivery

Once our system processes your order, your products are inspected thoroughly to ensure they are in a perfect condition by our sellers.

Once they pass through the final round of quality check, our sellers pack and hand over it to our trusted delivery partner.

Our delivery partners then bring the package to you at the earliest. In case, they are unable to reach your provided address or at a suitable time, they will contact you to resolve the issue.

We package our products in boxes, which are covered in a plastic layer. Each individual product is packaged in bubble wrap while fragile items like bottles are safely secured with additional bubble wrap.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our packaging. Till date, we have received minimal complaints about damaged products due to our packaging.

We dispatch most orders within 2-4 business days (i.e. excluding Sundays and public holidays).

Don’t worry! This is a completely normal situation. This just means that different parts of your order may have simply been shipped from our different sellers locations.

Rest assured, you will only have to pay the shipping/CoD charge if applicable, on the first package you receive.

We have standard shipping charges for most addresses. We also have express shipping charges, should you wish to receive your order in an expedited manner, something this is not available due to the location serviceability constraints though.

Custom Orders

You can make the payment through our state-of-the-art payment gateway using credit card, debit card, net banking and various popular wallets. You can also make payment using Paytm option, which is quite popular these days. PayPal is also an option for foreign customers outside of India.

We use SSL secured Check out so you can make the payment without any worries.

You can go through our size chart to know your size. Still if you have any problems regarding the size, no worries. Place your order selecting the size you think would fit you perfectly or simply select “MTM” Made-To-Measure option and leave us a message that you’re unsure about the size at support@boxcurio.com. We’ll guide you how to get your perfect measurements and you can own one.

For Customized orders or ‘Made to Measure’: Since these are bespoke products and designed as per customer’s size and fit specifications, these products may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances. 

We do not provide alteration service.


For leather jackets – Items will be shipped within 10 business days from the date of ordering, customer jackets will be shipped in 15 business days

Yes, you can get literally any type of jacket custom made from us. You can share any picture or design for reference and write the description of your jacket in the "MTM" Made-To-Measure comments section..

Absolutely Yes! It all starts with leather, over the years we have become experts in leather, getting it made from one of the finest tanneries in India. Our core proposition is best quality real Indian leather that ranges from Lambskin, Sheepskin and Goatskin. We have the experience of making jackets in various leather articles differentiated by type, pattern, colors, shades & thickness.

We totally understand your concerns about sizing, design and quality of your custom order. We’ve worked really hard on processes to make sure we make the best possible custom order as per your expectation. We have worked out each of these issues

Sizing:

When you place your custom order, our CS agent asks for your body measurement. Please refer to our sizing guide to take your body measurements. When you take your measurements correctly, there are zero chances for sizing error.

Design & Quality:

Solution: Before dispatching your order, we can share pictures of your actual product with you. You can review the design, material and stitching before we dispatch it. So this reason is potentially eliminated.

We strive to minimize fulfillment time for custom orders and usually dispatch within 15 business days. However, due to different nature of all custom orders, we do not have a pre-specified fulfillment date. Customers, while discussing their custom orders can ask for a delivery date from the Customer Support Agent.


Return & Exchange

Apparel category ONLY:

For Regular orders: We want to ensure satisfactory customer experience that’s why our return policy is set for 5 days from delivery. You can exchange almost everything within 5 days of delivery. Once we have received and inspected your product (usually within 72 hours of receipt), your exchange order will be processed and delivered to you within next 15 business days. Please note that in case of returns, customers would have to bear charges for shipping back the item to us.

All other product categories:

For all other category of products listed on the website, it is important to note that we make best efforts to ensure that returns, refunds and exchanges is available to customers for reasons that are beyond their control.

Reasons when return, refund or exchange is possible:

1 - You receive a faulty or defective product

2 - You receive a product that is different from what you ordered

3 - You receive a product that looks different from how it appeared on the product page

Reasons when return, refund or exchange is not possible:

1 - Items that have been worn, washed or soiled

2 - Items, once the seal has been broken, cannot be returned unless the equipment is faulty

3 - Consumable products like food and beverages, bath and beauty products

4 - Bulky items like furniture, statues, paintings, and other heavy items of more than 1 kilograms in nett. weight 

5 - Custom made products


Conditions for returning products:

1 - The products must be returned in the original condition they were received in along with any bills, tags, labels…etc.

2 - Products must be in their original form and unsoiled

3 - Brand packaging should be intact

4 - Replacement of a product will be subject to availability of the product on the website at that time.

Your email must contain name of the product and the order ID along with a detailed description of the nature of the concern. This must be done within 5 days of receipt of the product. Disputes registered after 5 days of delivery shall not be entertained whatsoever.
